One of my favorite places in the world to visit is Sagres which is on the southern most point of both Portugal and Europe. It used to be called End of the World since in ancient times it was the furthest explored point and that was the name the Romans gave it. That’s the place where I took this photo of a surfer. I love photographing water, it can look soft and it can look hard. The force of a wave is incredible and just sweeps you off your feet.
I've been there both at the beginning of summer and at the end of autumn, swimming in the refreshing temperature of the mighty Atlantic Ocean. Once I stayed at a hotel where I had the most amazing view from my balcony of the old fortress. I did my yoga practice at sunset but I just had to stop in the middle of my practice and take pictures of the sun setting over the sea.
